Expo stage: Influencer Marketing (March 2, 10:00am to 11:45am)
2017: The Year of the Influencer?
Brand building with influencers and YouTube content
Selling bling and swag online is no easy undertaking. Julian Leitloff and Tim Bibow, founders of Stilnest, can tell you all about it. It wasn’t until they approached influencer Nilam Farooq AKA Daaruum (over 1 million Youtube followers) to pitch their jewelry that the company really took off. On the Expo stage, the duo will tell you how they choose their influencers, which content works best from a brand perspective and how the marketing strategy has affected Stilnest’s revenue.
Turning Snapchat Analytics into Triumph (in English)
Nick Cicero is the founder of Delmondo, an agency specialized in locating and contacting influencers for some of the world’s biggest brands, like McDonald’s, L’Oréal and MTV. While analyzing Snapchat campaigns, he realized that the app contained hardly any data to measure success. So he put together a video analytics platform at Delmondo, which he uses to show influencers and brands how they’re performing. On the Expo stage, Nick will tell us what Snapchat has to offer for brands and influencers alike and which strategies tend to get the most out of the app.
Winning with millennials: How German drugstore dm used influencers to get hip
While many major companies continue to grapple with whether or not influencer marketing is relevant to their business, Germany’s biggest drugstore dm has established itself in a young target group with clever influencer marketing. With a variety of attention-grabbing influencer campaigns, dm generated a ton of buzz—and probably revenue in the process. On our Expo stage, Mario Bertsch (National Communication director for dm) and Frauke Klos (Social media manager at dm), will share with you how influencer marketing enriches a company’s media mix and which strategies are best suited for large companies—they may even bring a surprise guest or two.
Getting to know Casey Neistat (in English)
What else is there to say about Casey? We posted an article a couple of weeks ago detailing that the Youtube star and app founder is appearing at Online Marketing Rockstars Festival 2017 and in addition to his appearance on the big Conference stage that he’ll also be making a healthy cameo on the Expo stage. Casey will showcase some of his most successful and unusual videos that helped him generated nearly 1.5 billion views. If that we’re enough, he’ll also be answering some of our questions—and maybe some of yours!
Expo Stage: SEO (March 2, 1:15pm to 1:45pm)
To be (found) or not to be (found)—that is the SEO question
Google in 2017 & beyond (in English)
In this age where most of us go online via mobile, the question of how content will be found and consumed in the future has never been more relevant. With AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) and PWA (Progressive Web Apps), Google has its sights on establishing itself as both a platform and gatekeeper, in order to challenge both Facebook and Apple. How will this shake up the SEO landscape and how should publishers proceed with these challenges? Marcus Tandler, aka Marcus Tandler aka “mediadonis” will answer these questions and more on the Expo stage. As co-founder of onpage.org and Tandler.Doerje.Partner, he’ internationally active, providing SEO consulting services and giving presentations. On March 2, he’ll be on stage at the Expo.
eCommerce SEO: Top Tips & Actions to Maximize Growth in 2017 (in English)
SEO as an area of specialization has long since arrived as a mainstream discipline. But has the discipline been completely exhausted or are there still areas that can be leveraged to boost traffic and sales for publishers. Aleyda Solis is one of the most prolific SEO experts in the world. At her agency Orainti, she advises international companies and startups on a wide range of search topics. As an absolute expert in her field, she is an in-demand speaker and was one of Forbes magazine’s “Top 10 Online Marketing Experts to follow,” while Entrepreneur.com named her as one of “50 Online Marketing Influencers to Watch” in 2016. On the Expo stage she’ll divulge some of her know how and give us some SEO tips for eCommerce.
Search and content marketing in a GAFA world (in English)
What does SEO really do? And what role does content marketing play? Or are both topics already out? It seems that there is a new post every day proclaiming the death of the oldest online marketing discipline–usually in connection with one of the big four: Google, Amazon, Facebook and Apple (GAFA). As an experienced SEO expert in Germany and founder of AKM3 (sold to ZenithOptimedia), Andre Alpar knows what a bunch a bull all the SEO obits are and doesn’t need buzzwords to give you clear paths of action to maximize your SEO.
This is just the beginning for the Expo stage lineup at OMR Festival 2017 on March 2 & 3 in Hamburg. Next week we’ll be announcing the next slots. If you want to grab your ticket, right this way!
